WOODKRAFT’S DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
August, 2021
The COVID-19 pandemic emphasized the critical role of technology. Woodkraft seized this opportunity, accelerating its digital transformation journey. In a short span, the organization revamped its digital roadmap, digitized core operations, and established a scalable digital framework. The company introduced three digital applications to support employees and clients.
"Woodkraft’s digital transformation involves rethinking how technology, people, and processes can fundamentally change business outcomes," says Sai Prasad, Woodkraft’s Group Chief Technology Officer. The digitization process facilitated fast and data-oriented decision-making.
One significant outcome of this transformation is 'Digikraft,' Woodkraft’s ERP built on Microsoft Navision. Tailored to the company's processes, Digikraft ensures a connected end-to-end process, centrally and securely managing everything from project creation to completion.
To enhance transparency and real-time status updates, Woodkraft launched the 'SURE' (Status Update Reporting Engine) app. Clients can securely access the app to track project statuses, updates, and documentation in real-time, eliminating communication layers.
The 'VISTA' portal simplifies vendor/partner interactions, offering a one-stop solution for registration, order/payment summaries, and a 360-degree view. Vendors can track transactions in real-time, submit bills seamlessly, and benefit from increased transparency.
Addressing the complexity of measuring site work completion, Woodkraft introduced 'SMART,' a home-grown patented app. SMART enables seamless measurement, recording, consolidation, and reporting of billing, significantly reducing time frames.
Woodkraft's digital innovation framework encourages stakeholders to openly discuss pain areas, propose viable solutions, and chart a path forward that is simple yet futuristic.
