Corporate Social Responsibility

Along with continued economic growth, we believe in uplifting the communities our empowered members belong to and work within.

At the crux of it, all our initiatives are aimed at promoting education and upskilling among disadvantaged youth, irrespective of gender, caste or religion.

We are supporting children afflicted with brain development disorders such as autism and cerebral palsy, employing the objectives of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan within our workplaces and extending these objectives to our sites along with the waste/debris management techniques used therein.

Our Social Context

We not only manage our own resources and operations with sustainability in mind, but also undertake community-development activities, to better the lives of people with limited access to education, healthcare and social equity.

Friends of Tribal Society

We are associated with FTS, under the One Teacher School (OTS) Program, or Ekal Vidyalaya, that takes education to the doorstep of tribal households across 18 states.

Impact:We’ve supported 20 schools, served 400 students in Mysore with funds for infrastructure maintenance, books, uniforms, etc.

Mahatma Vidyalaya

The School caters to students from 43 villages within a 12 kms radius and follows a policy of quality education at minimum cost. Its main objective is to create well-rounded citizens, with strong moral and spiritual values.

Impact:Woodkraft has been an active catalyst with the repair of school furniture, infrastructure, and financial support.

HSP

HSP is committed to the upliftment of under-served poor, and those with special needs, without discrimination of caste, creed, race, and gender or religion. We are associated with adoption of 50 girls, covering their expenses for school fees, books, food and healthcare.

Impact:We support 50 schoolgirls covering their education, food and healthcare costs.

Our Own Backyard

We’ve provided aid for Woodkraft workers’ children for 10 years, having supported 50 children of our site-staff with their school-fees.

Impact:Happier, Economically supported staff and community.

Adoption of Rural Learning Centers

We have adopted 30 rural learning centres at Gudibande in Chikkaballapur District, which is being managed by Youth For Seva Organization.

Impact:We are working for the upliftment of rural sections of the society.

Vyakti Vikas Kendra & Janaseva Vidya Kendra

We fund and support Vyakti Vikas Kendra and Janaseva Vidya Kendra, boys’ boarding schools run by the Janaseva Trust in Bangalore.

Impact:Perpetually contributing towards building the future with an educated nation.
